See some of the oldest parts of London including the Roman wall and the places where the Great Fire of London started and ended. Other tourist attractions include the Bank of England, St Pauls, the Museum of London and the Tower of London.

This walk will take you around the area within the old London wall. It is
a fairly long walk but can easily be done in two parts: from Monument
to St Pauls (stopping at St Pauls tube) and from St Pauls to Tower Hill.
You will pass through some of the oldest established parts of London and
see both the start and end points of the Great Fire.
Other features of
this walk include the Bank of England, St Bart's hospital (the oldest
in London) and the Tower of London. You will also see where
London's most famous mayor, Dick Whittington, lived and was buried.

A weekend day is probably the best time to do this walk, as there will be a lot less traffic and people. However, you may find that some of the smaller, out of the way cafes and pubs are closed.
